I came by to take a look at your illo for spottted, but I just fell in love with this one! I love them all, actually, but there's something about Cookie that's very sweet and calm. The little poem makes me think of all the noisy birds in the morning...I wonder what they're talking about! I see you did a little series for tarzan after last week's topic - I especially like the one where he's riding his bicycle with the big boots - there's so much movement in so many of your drawings - I feel like the wind wooshes by! What size are these (not the boots; the drawings)? Each one is a gem of color, style, and humor.

Carla.. thanks for your thoughts. I had a look at the pics of Cookie under visitors at AnonyHouse and got a nice vibe from him, and there are some clues to his behaviour. He wanted to pose for me apparantly. Nearly went cartoony but thought otherwise.. could have rounded off back of head bit more. He's got cute little features which are'nt all here, and could have rounded off back of head bit more.
Birds are definitely talking about something but I don't know what it is. Cookie does silent talking as well I think, like the rest I guess.
They're all done in an A4 sketchbook, and usually fill up the page but can be a third A4 at smallest. This one is about two-thirds A4. Was going to be a reference sketch but went back to it after deciding not to go cartoony with him.
I think Tarzan will be returning.
