SPEED (Illustration Friday)
Tarzan speeds from tree to tree Faster than a lavatory He ain't slow Watch him go A human form of rocketry.
Swinging so ineptly Scaring birds adeptly Flying by With a cry "Please switch off the gravity!"
The New Tarzan is not nimble He is Pendalim Fimble.
This pic was posted a couple of days ago and decided to shoe-horn it into this week's IF theme. Thought I could change the date and keep original comments.. but no, it won't let me. Sorry to those who visited earlier here and been deleted!
Jocelyn.. I've been jogging amongst your quotes, thanks for returning and glad you've put 'shag-o-delic' in my comments box again.. very International Man Of Mystery.
Janet.. did'nt get to answer your question before I had to delete comments.. no it's not a knot on his noggin, it's a natural bump on his bonce!
I am intrigued by TarzanĀ“s stiletto he speeds through the Djungle dancing balletto he scares the poor bird and flowers which he cuts with his heel so it showers.
Fabulous, action filled drawing...I can see this Tarzan is defeintely vine-challenged; in fact, he appears to be plummeting straight through the branches to the floor of the jungle. Perhaps his problem is incorrect footwear? Everyone knows that the best attire for vine swinging is bare feet and a loincloth! Maybe that explains the bird's expression... Another wonderful illuastration and poem:> One question, though..how fast is a lavatory?
Twisselman.. I think it depends if he makes his connection with the next vine, could be with hand or boot!
MerlinPrincesse.. Fimble not too nimble, agree the birds could help him. I'll have to check haiku, thought it might be a fish, but I doubt thish.
Carla.. good question. Lavatorys are portals to other dimensions and it's difficult to quantify their speed in terms we can understand. But on more than one occasion a lavatory has told me in confidence that they are faster than a cheetah. I keep an open mind on the subject.
Detlef.. good question. Jane is chillin' out with the elephants and has made some poultices for when Tarzan gets back home because cuts and bruises are an occupational hazard, more so in this case. Jane says 'hi.'
The Unknown.. and Tarzan manages to keep both boots on unlike some people! Like your sea encounter profile pic.
Valgalart.. Tarzan was wondering if you have a suitable tree-house for him and Jane? With a lift preferably.
Thanks for your complimentary comments, cosmic tingle to you all. ....:::::::o
Your imagination is awesom! I guess that's not a revelation to you. I hope Mr Fimble "the new tarzan" makes it out of the jungle alive and the quicker the better. Fine work and so funny.
Hardwax.. can't speak for my imagination, but my memory is'nt awesome. Thought I'd replied to this ages ago. Thanks! I'm nipping over to yours for a snoop.

Whoa there, Mr. Fimble... you're not speedily descending, are you? Great perspective. Dig those boots
Poor Pendalim
His boots lost him
Will the birdie help Fim?
