FARM (Illustration Friday)
"Inside my dream I can see farms Where the animals don't need arms Because an extra pair of legs Is what they like instead Except for an owl (who hoots psalms)."
Colour pencil and ballpoint drawing then Photoshop filters.
I want a free-range organic animal and plant farm, the way my parents and gradparents had - just make enough food - but one does not make money from that. Today we have the same farms but we have to be lawyesr and doctors and nurses in order to make money, otherwise here come the scientists with the hormones!
Dig the crazy (mebbe alarmed?) eyes on the farm critters. And the psalm-singing owl's notes spiraling heavenward. Inspired bit of revelry out in the country. Yay, a veritable celebration. And are those arms yours, directing the festivities? Classic Modroom.
I feel like they're looking down at me wondering what peculiar farm animal I might be, they have a shocked and focused stare-each one. Their agitation brings a amazing energy to this piece. Fascinating and I love the artwork!

It's like a stained glass window. The owl looks like it is truly enjoying flying the vortx with farm friends.
excellent farm, love the colors!!
I swear I didn't eat any chickens, pigs or cows! Please don't eat me! Haha they look hungry! Love this!
The owl has qualms about arms!
The others shoot legs ...
I always love coming to your page, such creativity!
Ham and bacon, milk and beef, lamb, throw in some owl eggs and a little bit of human - all the food groups covered.

Ldahl.. It was supposed to be a chicken, but looking at it again I think you'reright.. it looks like an owl, so I changed the rhyme!
Stacy M.. think I squashed the farm by lying on it, but the animals are okay.
Valgalart.. they're coming to eat you!!
AnonyGhost.. the owl hoots alarms!
String.. and you're a universal thread!
Detlef.. don't forget chocolate from the fridge.
Ces.. population size dictates things like that, but I don't think generally the best options have been taken.
Rramone.. it is.
Twisselman.. they're my arms but I don't really know what they're doing.
